The Visual Communication Lab just launched a version of Many Eyes for the New York Times. We’re extremely excited about it.
You can go play at http://vizlab.nytimes.com. (They’ve rebranded it as “Visualization Lab.”) The Times has a nice blog post about it, too.
Like Many Eyes, you can embed live visualizations. In the spirit of the upcoming election (go vote!), here’s a wordle of Obama’s nomination acceptance speech.
Check it out! And don’t forget to read the credits.

The official opening party for the Greater Boston Bigfoot Research Institute was a blast. I got to play DJ a bit at the beginning, which was good fun.

The always excellent DJ Ripley was the main provider of music. A good time was had by all. Plus it was a fundraiser for 826 Boston, our local (and new!) branch of 826 National. See more of Ben’s photos to get a feel for the event.

Thanks to Andrew Sempere, I had the chance to participate in the Artistic Mediums in Pontiac, MI. Aside from DJing at the opening party, I also had a piece there called Dead Air, Live.

In short, it’s a self-sampling radio. Recording to come.
